Programs

Mentorship Program- (program will run all year)**
​This program will link local youth within the community with qualified mentors who are
members and partners with the organization. Youth will be paired with mentors based on
common interest, and background. These mentorship relationships are designed to
develop and empower youth spiritually, educationally, and economically. Youth will be
asked to come to a mentorship symposium in which there will be a short presentation on
mentorship and they will the organization’s mentor network. After the presentation youth
will fill out information cards describing their interest, goals, and much more. Upon the
completion of this form, youth will be paired with a mentor based on common interest
and goals. (All mentors will be reviewed by the board and will go through a criminal and
child–abuse background checks). (All symposium expenses will be covered by
fundraisers and private donations).

Tutor Me/GED Program- (program will run all year)**
I Can Ministry, Inc. will partner with local colleges and universities to get college tutors
to help high school and middle school students in various subject areas that they may
struggle with. This is to enhance student academic performance in the local community.
Tutors will be asked to work with these students on a volunteer basis. Commitments are
based on tutee and tor schedule. Also, I Can Ministry will partner with local high school
teachers (both retired and active) in an effort to help high-school drop outs obtain their
GED. Those who wish to obtain their GED will go through a series of courses offered at
night and on the weekend. (Tutors and teachers will be interviewed by board of directors) Fundraisers and private donations will cover any expenses.

Real Estate/Economic Development Workshops- (program will run once a year)**

The program will focus on understanding real estate and ownership. Workshops will
include: the steps for purchasing property, benefits of home ownership, types of real
estate investing, property management and maintenance. In addition to how to manage
your money and financial planning workshops. (Fundraisers and private donations will
cover expenses). (All presenters will be reviewed by board of directors). All programs are
open to the public.

How to Start Your Own Business Seminar- (program will run twice a year)**

This program will focus on the steps to starting your own business. It will include: what
paperwork is necessary in obtaining your own business, what type of business fits your
vision, how do I get money for my business, how do I market my business? All these
questions and more will be answered at this seminar. (Speakers will be interviewed by
board of directors).


Enough is Enough Youth Conference: (program will run once a year)** ​​
This program will focus on crime prevention in the local community. It will be held in
partnership with the local police department, local churches, the School district, and other nonprofit organizations who focus on youth empowerment. The focus of the conference will be to stir up dialogue on how to curtail crime in the local community and how to disengage youth from dealing in criminal activity. Aside from dialogue, intervention strategies and action plans will be developed to address this issue. (All speakers will be interviewed by the board of directors) (All expenses will be covered by fundraisers and private donations).
I Can Ministry Worship Programs- (program will run monthly)**

This program will focus on spiritual worship and prayer. Community members can attend
services for spiritual renewal and refreshing: Specific services targeting youth will be
conducted as well as services targeting families and the community as a whole. (All
speakers will be interviewed by the board of directors). (All expenses will be covered by
fundraisers and private donations).
*All programs are open to the public.
**On-going fundraising activities and events will be conducted and approved by the
Board of Directors to offset the expenses for the above programs.
